I am so excited! I have joined a bunch of ladies to discuss new reads and talk life with… Much like a book club of sorts, with the added benefit of gracious women to care for our children in the nursery and warm smiles to greet you as you enter their door.
Well, finally I have stumbled upon a great group of gals to meet with every week. I can barely wait until the next time we get to grace each other with our faces and share our hearts and thoughts on what we’ve just explored through text.
Currently we have added a new book to the score. I’m sure a lot of you have heard of this one, especially if you have seen the movie “Fire Proof” which I regrettably have not at current status. The book is a part of the movie, based from what I’ve seen from the trailer. Aside from the video clip, I would venture to say the concept of the book is one to send the flicker of your romance to a flame; and, if practiced on a regular basis, become more of an unwavering fire, which is one that most of us would dare to even desire.
Within the covers of the book are 40 challenges with journaling questions and spaces afterward. The entries are short in length and not overwhelming in the sense of time restriction. However if one thing deserves a little TLC everyday, this is an investment that will return profit for your marriage.
I have heard of good things because of the nature of this book and am taking on the challenge myself for the sake of bettering myself as a wife. You don’t have to be on the rocks to need improvement. If you are alive…there is work to be done, right?!
Having said that, I extend the dare to you to stir up your love life with a spirit of passion and hope. You don’t need to tell your mate of the new book you are reading to have him follow you. In fact, I don’t really recommend it, unless he already is involved in book studies. Go ahead and surprise him for the next 40 days by working on characteristics of yourself you may have overlooked.
It may not be easy, but relationships are work and can’t be avoided. So why not nurture them and pursue them with everything you can and then some?
